As’ad Abukhalil is a professor of political science at California State University, Stanislaus and visiting professor at UC, Berkeley. He previously taught at Tufts University, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Colorado College, and Randolph-Macon Woman's College. Abukhalil served as a Scholar-in-Residence at Middle East Institute in Washington DC. He served as free-lance Middle East consultant for NBC News and ABC News. Abukhalil is a frequent guest on international news broadcasts, including CNN and Al-Jazeera, and frequently takes part in speaking engagements in various universities and institutions. Abukhalil is well known for his blog called The Angry Arab News Service. Abukhalil writes extensively on Middle Eastern issues, and has published several books, book chapters, and numerous articles. His books include: The Battle for Saudi Arabia: Royalty, Fundamentalism, and Global Power; Bin Laden, Islam, and America’s New “War on Terrorism”; Historical Dictionary of Lebanon; and America and the New “War on Terrorism”: Who Split the World into Two? (Arabic).
