Jim Lobe is the Washington Bureau Chief of Inter Press Service (IPS). He has worked as a correspondent for IPS for most of the last 23 years. He also writes for Foreign Policy in Focus, a joint project of the Washington-based Institute for Policy Studies and the New Mexico-based International Relations Center (IRC). As an analyst and political adviser for Foreign Policy in Focus, Lobe has closely studied the neoconservative movement. His expertise has been recognized by major international media, including the BBC.s Panorama news magazine, and the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper, amongst others. Lobe also writes for Oneworld.net and Alternet.
